Home Sales Up in Norfolk, Plainville, Slight Decrease in Wrentham

Year over year statistics show houses sold in Wrentham, Plainville and Norfolk in January 2012 to 2013.

Norfolk and Plainville saw increases in their home sale, while Wrentham saw a decrease in the month of January, according to data released by real estate information firm The Warren Group,  In Massachusetts, 2,680 homes sold in January 2013,  up over last year's 2,436 sales. This is the highest January sales volume for single-family homes in Massachusetts in five years, when there were 2,953 transactions in January 2007. "We ended 2012 on a pretty positive note, and this is carrying into January," said Timothy M. Warren Jr., CEO of The Warren Group. "Recent pending sales data are a hopeful sign for a strong spring market. And given low mortgage rates and steady prices, there are positive signs that 2013 will be a second year of recovery. …

Wrentham Home Sales Down Dramatically in November

Town sees drop in home sales.

Wrentham had its home sales fall by quite a bit in November, according to data released today. The data, compiled by real estate information firm The Warren Group, had home sales falling from 11 in November 2010 to two last month. The state, though, saw its fifth straight month of year-over-year home sales increases. Massachusetts home sales went up from 2,875 last year to 3,253 last month. Warren Group CEO Timothy Warren Jr. said in a statement that he was hopeful for the coming year. "I'm hopeful that winding down the year on a positive note will stimulate the market in 2012," Warren said. "But, a reality check of the numbers shows we may see a record low number of home sales in all of 2011, somewhere near the level in the 1990s." Here …
