Wrentham Volunteers of the Year Announced

The Wrentham Volunteers of the Year were announced as Article 2 of last night's town meeting.

The winners of the Wrentham Volunteer of the Year awards were announced last night, with four residents being reconized for their roll in the community. In the 18 and over category, Judy Ellis was given the award for her time spent as a volunteer in the kitchen of the Wrentham Senior Center. Ellis has spend the last 12 years working in the kitchen five days a week, for three hours a day. When Selectmen Charles Kennedy asked others in the kitchen how many years Ellis had been volunteering, no one could come up with an answer as Ellis was the longer working member there. In the Under-18 division, there were three awards as the committee could not narrow the winner down to one person.  Friends Lauren McSweeney and Reily Magane were both given…

Wrentham Selectmen's Fifth Annual Volunteer of the Year Award

You can nominate a resident to receive the "Town of Wrenham-Volunteer of the Year" award.

  The Wrentham Board of Selectmen announce the acceptance of nominations for the 5th Annual "Town of Wrentham - Volunteer of the Year" award. This award is given to residents that have gone above and beyond to volunteer their time to the Town. Nominations may be submitted to the Selectmen's office until Oct. 5 in two age groups, under 18-or-18 and over. The winners will be acknowledged at the Nov. 13 Special Town Meeting.
