Wrentham Lions Club Golf tournament will be held at the Foxborough Country Club
The Wrentham Lions Club is hosting the 18th Annual Golf Tournament. The tournament is a fundraiser for the Wrentham Lions Club, which helps the club to donate to various charities and volunteer endeavors. Play begins May 13 at 8 a.m., rain or shine, at the Foxborough Country Club. Prizes will be awarded for the four lowest scores, the top three teams, last place team, longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting contest. Registration is $130 per player, and includes green fees, golf cart, complimentary raffle ticket, coffee and donuts, luncheon with grilled burgers, hotdogs, chicken, dessert and giveaways. A look at Sunday's Duathlon in Wrentham
The Wrentham Duatholon went off without a hitch on Sunday. All proceeds from the registration fees will help support the Wrentham Lions’ charitable concerns as well as fund research for a cure to blindness. The Lions also help organize the fall Wrentham Halloween Duathlon, which also supports charitable efforts in the area. The Wrentham Lions Club has put the race on for 17 years with the help of Fiske Independent Race Management, a race organization company. The year, the race saw at least 300 participants. The Wrentham Lions is hosting the 17th annual Wrentham Duathlon on April 14 at the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds. Registration is continuing, and all proceeds from the registration fees will help support the Wrentham Lions’ charitable concerns as well as fund research for a cure to blindness. The Lions also help organize the fall Wrentham Halloween Duathlon, which also supports charitable efforts in the area. The Wrentham Lions will once again sell Christmas trees at the American Legion starting on Nov. 24.
For those who celebrate Christmas, it's about that time again to start thinking about getting a tree for the holidays. Once again, The Wrentham Lions Club will be selling Christmas trees this holiday season in the American Legion Hall parking lot on Route 1A on South Street. The trees go on sale on Saturday, Nov. 24 and can be purchased until Sunday, Dec. 23. Residents can purchase trees Wednesday-Friday 5-8 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All hours of operation are weather permitting.
