Report Says Norfolk's Winter Out at WEEI

Norfolk's Kevin Winter is out as the morning sports reporter at WEEI, according to a report on boston.com.

  Norfolk's Kevin Winter is out as the sports update anchor on WEEI's Dennis and Callahan, according to a report on Boston.com.Monday.  Winter had been with the show for six weeks after replacing Jon Meterparel, who didn't renew his contract so he could pursue play-by-play work. Meterparel is the voice of the Boston College football and men's basketball teams. Boston.com is reporting the program director Jason Wolfe told Winter Monday the chemistry between himself and the morning host wasn't working. Winter had worked at ESPN Radio since 2004 before joining WEEI.

Selectmen to Ask For Delay in Medical Marijuana Law While the voters of Massachusetts gave their approve for medial marijuana with the passing of Question 3 during November's election, the Wrentham Board of Selectmen will be asking for a little more time to prepare for the legal use and distribution of the drug. While the law is suppose to go into effect 45 days after being approved, some towns believe they need more time to draft zoning laws for where medical marijuana can be sold. The discussion came up after the board received a letter from the Walpole Board of Selectmen, asking the Wrentham selectmen to petition State Senator Richard Ross in support of a delay in the implication of the law.
