Town Pizza a True Stroke of Luck

Town Pizza owner Bill Shehata shares his story of coming to America.

Bill Shehata’s immigration to America, and subsequently coming to Town Pizza in Wrentham, was quite a lucky chance, very lucky in fact. “You apply for a lottery and they pick about 55 citizens from around the work,” he said. “My luck definitely got me there.” Shehata said he originally worked in a bus manufacturing plant in Egypt, and upon coming to the U.S., found manufacturing to be in short supply in 1995. “The job I found when I came was cooking pizza,” he said. “I was cooking in pizza places for about five years. They taught me the business.” Shehata said about that time he was looking to open his own business. “The guy before me, he was here 10 years and he wanted to get rid of it,” he said. The Looking Glass in Wrentham Keeps it Simple

The Looking Glass in Wrentham employs the simple method.

  The Looking Glass Café in Wrentham may not have the most exotic menu, but owner Christos Kalogeras said keeping it simple helps him to stay successful. He said he had been a cook at the Looking Glass for two years prior, and has worked in the restaurant business for more than 20 years, working at the Wrentham House of Pizza, Town Pizza and Paisano's Deli for over eight years. “I’ve been in the business for 20 years and cooking is cooking as far as I’m concerned,” he said.” If it’s pizza, if it's breakfast, I’m pretty experienced to tackle anything, except Chinese, I wouldn’t go that far.” He added this experience has allowed him to meet just about everyone in the town and has started a real connection with those he has met.  “I know …

My wife and I have been going to the Looking Glass for many years.2 weeks ago we went after church and found that the new owner Chris is doing a great job.We had the "everything" omolet and it was true to it's name.
