Let's face it - it's been a few years since a snowstorm has truly walloped the area, despite several inches in a recent storm. On top of that, the National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect high temperatures to stay in the mid-40s for the rest of the week and the New England Patriots may end up playing their rematch with the Houston Texans in sunny, 50-degree weather. A second storm is headed to the area and could make driving hazardous on Saturday.
A second storm of the week is headed toward New England and will dump more snow onto the area on Saturday. 7News meteorologists are predicting Wrentham to get between 2 to 4 inches of snow in the storm that is expected to start on Saturday afternoon and spread into the early hours of Sunday. The good news is that snow removal shouldn’t be a backbreaking endeavour. CBSBoston’s Todd Gutner said the snow will be “dry and fluffy for most,” though he warned that driving could be hazardous at times on Saturday.

Mother Nature has sent snow early this year! On the heels of Hurricane Sandy, some have dubbed Wednesday night's storm "Son of Sandy." Despite a temperate Friday, Wrentham could see a significant snowfall this weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting a possible snowstorm for the area. According to the service, a storm may begin late Friday night, continuing through the day Saturday. About one inch of accumulation is expected Friday, with a possible three to five inches predicted for Saturday. Wind gusts of up to 23 miles per hour are also possible, said the service.
