Red Rooster in Wrentham Rooted in the Local Scene
Owner and operation John Lightzier says his customers are the basis for the bar's success.
John Lightizer started the Red Rooster in 2010, fulfilling a dream he said he’s had for a long time. “I always wanted to do something like this,” he said. “[I decided to] open and see what happened.” He said the bar is always active, and one of the reasons for that, is the location. The Red Rooster, located on Route 1 in Wrentham, is right in the middle of Foxborough, Plainville, Norfolk and Mansfield. Lightizer said that helps drive traffic. “We’re kind of in the juncture of everything,” he said. “We cater to a lot of audiences, lunch, after work guys, there’s the evening dinner crowd, the late night crowd.
