Norfolk's Garrett Nolan and his Boston University men's ice hockey teammates will be playing in the Beanport Tournament Monday night at the TD Garden in Boston. BU will be playing Northeastern University in the 5 p.m. game, followed by Boston College and Harvard University. The losers will play in the consolation game next Monday, followed by the championship game Feb. 11. The games will be shown on NESN. A junior defenseman, Nolan has four goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 22 ganes. Nolan was selected by the Nashville Predators in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL draft.

Norfolk's Garrett Noonan is a junior defenseman on the Boston University's men's hockey team. In the season opener, he scored the first goal in a 4-2 victory of Providence College in the season opener. He also had two assists in a win over UMass. As a sophomore, the 2011 draft pick of the Nashville Predators, tied for the second most goals on the team with 16 and tied for first nationally among defensemen. Noonan finished the season with 27 points and was a Hockey East Second Team All-Star. As a freshman, he appeared in 38 contests, finishing with four goals and 11 assists for 15 points. Noonan was a standout at Catholic Memorial High School and for the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL before going to Boston University.
