The intersection of Taunton Street (Route 152) and Messenger Street (Route 106) has been named one of the most dangerous in Massachusetts according to a list from the state, which tracked crashes and accidents between 2008-2010. The list of the 200 most dangerous intersections in the state was recently included in a WBZ-TV I-Team report. The Taunton St./Messenger St. intersection is tied for 130th with an intersection in Worcester and another one in Cambridge. Between 2008-2010, there were 55 total crashes at the Taunton St./Messenger St. intersection along with 14 injuries, and no fatalities. Route 1 and 152, people are still taking left hand turns going south. I see it atleast once a day. If the light is green and you are going north on Rt 1 be careful because you can not see the illegal turning cars until you upon them even with your speed reduced. more ›
