The Warriors lost 3-0 to Nauset Regional High School.
Over the past two games, the King Philip Warriors have gotten off 85 shots. Conventional wisdom says that when you average over 40 shots over two games, then goals must not be an issue. That has not been the case for KP, who have only managed to score three goals on those shots. Playing against the Nauset High School Warriors, KP was able to outshoot Nauset 30-17 but fell 3-0. “They [Nauset] took advantage of the good opportunities that they had, and that’s what happens in games like this,” King Philip head coach Mark Homer said. Nauset struck with their first goal 6:20 into the opening period with a shot from the low left by Cam McPartland with the assist coming from Adam Huber. King Philip had a pair of power plays in the first period …

The Hornets Get Past the Warriors, 2-0.
Sometime during the end of the first and the beginning of the second period, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before the King Philip Warriors would put a goal up on the board. Though they got the chances they needed, KP just couldn’t find a way to get one past the Hornets. “I thought they played really well. I think they deserved a better fate. We had some opportunities to score,” KP head coach Mark Homer said. “We didn’t take advantage of the opportunities.” The Warriors fell to the Hornets 2-0 in a Kelley-Rex Division matchup. It only took 55 seconds for the Hornets to get on the board when Brendan Murphy quickly scored after a face-off in the King Philip defensive zone for the early 1-0 lead. Evan Kershaw was credited with …

Warriors score four goals in the third period to win, 4-1.
The King Philip boys' hockey team is officially on a roll. The Warriors have won three straight, including a come-from-behind, 4-1 victory Wednesday night against Oliver Ames at the Asiaf Ice Arena in Brockton. With the win, KP improves to 4-8-1 while the Tigers drop to 5-3-2. After a first period in which OA defenseman Alex Weibler found the net after a Thomas McNeeley assist to put the Tigers ahead 1-0, KP head coach Mark Homer decided to let his players take the reins in the locker room. "I let the boys figure it out for themselves in the locker room," he said. "They were a little bit better in the second period and, in the third period, they were on fire. To keep their season alive and keep the opportunities going, this was a big game …

Two third period goals for King Philip allowed them to skate away with a 3-2 victory over Bishop Feehan at the Foxboro Sports Center.
The Bishop Feehan ice hockey team allowed three consecutive goals to King Philip and, despite a late flurry, could not find enough offense to come back. The Warriors took home a 3-2 victory Monday night at the Foxboro Sports Center. Both teams are struggling with injuries as they hit the middle portion of their season, but the teams are headed in opposite directions. The Shamrocks picked up their fourth loss in five games, evening their record at 5-5-2. Meanwhile, the Warriors made it three wins in four games since the return of Chris Boselli and moved to 3-7-1. The Shamrocks were dominated for much of the game, including the first period, in which they were outshot, 16-2. They took the lead, though, behind captain Nick Carvalho just two …

King Philip boys' ice hockey team skates to win over Attleboro.
The Attleboro High Bombardiers hockey team went into the locker room after the first period down a single goal and feeling like they were in the game against King Philip. Over the next 15 minutes, that feeling would disappear as the Warriors scored five goals in the second period on their way to a comprehensive 8-1 win at Aleixo Arena in Taunton Wednesday. Zach Dragun scored the lone goal of the game for the Bombardiers on a one-timer off a great feed from Ollie Gemba, which made the score 2-1 after one period. Gavin MacIntyre had a fantastic night for the Warriors. The junior forward scored a hat trick and was also credited with three assists. Senior Chris Boselli, who just recently returned from injury, had two goals and four points and …
