Brown Says He'll be Involved in US Senate Race

Scott Brown isn't talking about his political future, but the state Democrats are acting like he will be a candidate for Governor of Massachusetts.

  In an exclusive interview on FOX-25 Tuesday night, Wrentham's Scott Brown commented on what his poltical future is,, but he did recently says he's considering a run for Governor of Massachusetts. In an article in the Boston Herald, though, it sounded like the Democrats think Brown iwill be in the running for Deval Patrick's Governor of Massachusetts position. Pie vendor refuses to accept EBT cards at farmers market. What do you think?

“I don’t think American taxpayers should be footing the bill for people’s pie purchases,” Andrea Taber, proprietor of the Ever So Humble Pie Co. in Walpole, told the Boston Herald. Taber sells her pies at the Braintree Farmers Market, yet refuses to accept tokens that the Farmers Market organizers sell to Electronic Benfits Transfer or EBT cardholders for use at the market. Farmers Market chairwoman Donna Ingemanson said that people on food stamps needed healthy choices and asked the Herald, "What better chance to buy healthy foods than at a farmers market?" Taber said buying fruits and vegetables with an EBT card is fine, but drew the line at using the card to purchase sweets, according to the Herald. Should food vendors be able to decide…

Brown, Warren Agree to Senate Debate in Lowell

US Senator Scott Brown and challenger Elizabeth Warren will be debating at UMass-Lowell Sept. 27.

    Lowell will be the site of a debate  U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren at the Tsongas Campus on the UMass-Lowell campus Sept. 27. The event is co-sponsored by UMass-Lowell and Boston Herald. NBC "Meet the Press" anchor David Gregory will be the moderator. The debate will be offered to all local TV outlets and to cable and network stations. It will also be on radio and on the web. Warren agreed to the one-hour debate first Thursday, followed by Brown signing on last night. King Philip's Layman in Hunt for Spot on USA Basketball Team

King Philip's Jake Layman is in contention for one of the spots on the USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team.

  Former King Philip standout Jake Layman, who is headed to the University of Maryland in the fall, is battling for one of the 12 spots on the USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team, who will be playing in Brazil later this month. The team is training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. until Monday.
