Wrentham restaurant picks up "best fries" title.

Wrentham's Commonwealth BBQ has been voted as having the best fries in the Wrentham/Foxborough area by Patch readers. The restaurant, which has been open for about a year, received 11 votes for its fries, besting Foxborough's Five Guys (eight votes). Dairy Queen and Red Robin in Foxborough, as well as Wrentham's Omega Pizza, also received votes (one each). Check out Patch next week to vote for the best florist in the area.

Bass Pro Shops wins "best sporting goods store in Wrentham/Foxborough area."
Foxborough's Bass Pro Shops won a tight contest to be the local Readers' Choice for best sporting goods store. The store, in Patriot Place, received four votes. Two businesses — Foxborough's Eastern Mountain Sports and the Nike Factory Store in the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets — tied for second place at three votes each. Other businesses receiving votes include the Adidas Retail Outlet, Foxboro Bike, Ken's Pro Skate and Lou River's Golf Shop (one vote each). Check in next week to determine who has the best fries in the Foxborough/Wrentham area.

Wrentham financial services firm takes "best place to do your taxes" title.

With over 900 votes cast, Northeast Financial Strategies has taken the "best place to do your taxes in the Wrentham/Foxborough" title. The Wrentham business garnered 520 votes (55 percent of the vote), winning over Foxborough's Sheehan Consulting, which received 409 votes. Kennedy & Associates (11 votes) and William Woolley (one vote) were the third and fourth most popular choices, respectively. Thanks to all those who voted, and congratulations to all the businesses involved. Check out next week's poll, where we'll ask you the best place to buy sporting goods in the area.

The Dairy Queen in Foxborough has taken the "best dessert in the Wrentham/Foxborough area" title. The famed chain received 12 votes in our weeklong poll, besting second-place Friendly's (Wrentham) by seven votes. Also receiving votes were Baskin-Robbins (three votes), Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (two votes) and The Fudgery, Godiva Chocolatier and Lindt Chocolate Shop (one vote each). Thanks to all those who voted, and congratulations to all the businesses involved.

Foxborough gym wins our "best of" title.

With more than 600 votes cast, Foxborough's Work Out World has taken the "best local place to work out" title. The gym received 210 of the 632 votes cast, or 33 percent of the total. Other local gyms receiving votes include the Hockomock Area YMCA (174 votes, 27 percent of the total), Crossfit Torque (132 votes, or 20 percent of the total), Gold's Gym (115 votes, 18 percent) and Humble Warrior Yoga. Congratulations to all the local businesses involved! Check out Wrentham and Foxborough Patch next week, when we will try to find who serves the best desserts in the town!

Judy's work speaks for itself, and has done so for the past 22 years. Every week, a fresh arrangement adorns the reception desk at Head to Toes Salon and Day Spa. I can't tell you how many oooos and ahhhs are spoken as our client walk through the front door each day to see her work. I have used Judy for every occassion including my own wedding and hands down, I have to say that she is the best!   more ›
