Tell Us What You Think: Should Wrentham TIcket More to Pay for More Police Officers?

The Wrentham selectmen voted 5-0 to look into a hiring more police officers and whether the added revenue they could bring would pay the salaries.

  Do you think the Wrentham selectmen made the right move Tuesday, voting 5-0, to look into a cost/benefit analysis of whether the cost adding police officers will be covered by increased revenue? Should the town count on increase revenue from giving out more tickets to play for more police officers? Let us know what you think in the comment section.

If ticket money is needed as revenue let them write parking tickets in front of the court house on East St. They installed no parking signs all up and down East St. Or make them real parking spaces and put in meters.   more ›

FBI: Three UMass-Dartmouth Classmates Destroyed Bombing Evidence to Help Friend

The UMass-Dartmouth men joked with Tsarnaev about his resemblance to the FBI suspect photos, then “freaked out” when they concluded it was really him.

Federal law officials believe three classmates of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev destroyed evidence in Darmouth while the suspected bombing brothers fought police in a gunfight in Watertown. In a complaint filed in federal court Wednesday, special agent Scott Cieplik claims suspect Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov destroyed or concealed a laptop and backpack filled with fireworks. Third suspect Robel Phillipos, meanwhile, is being charged with lying to federal officials. According to the complaint, the April 18 night started when Kadyrbayev texted Tsarnaev, needling his friend about his resemblance to the FBI photos released earlier that day. Boston Police: Three New Bombing Suspects in Custody

Officials stress there is no threat to the public, details still emerging.

Boston Police announced a major new development in the Boston Marathon bombing case Wednesday morning. According to the department, there are three new suspects in custody. Boston Police tweeted the news just after 11 a.m. Wednesday. There were no further details, though the police said they would offer more information soon. There is no additional information being released at the moment. BPD said additional details will be provided when they become available.  Police stressed there was no immediate threat to the public. Plainville Police Seek Help in Finding Rock Throwers

The Plainville Police Department is looking for information on rock throwing incidents Saturday night in town.

Police responded to the area of Park Avenue and Garfield Streets Saturday, April 27, at about 11:42 p.m. after receiving 911 calls about rocks being thrown through two windows at two residences. While investigating, police received a third 911 call reported another rock thrown through a window at a residence on Munroe Drive. The next morning, two vehicles on South Street in the same proximity were discovered to have been damaged by means of a rock thrown at their windshields. Investigation is being conducted by Sgt. March 15 11:00 pm, Wrentham police arrested a 37 year old Canton man.  Martin Morales of 186 Bolivar St. was arrested on a probation violation warrant.  The arrest took place at the Red Rooster on Washington St. On Sunday, March 24, 2013, at approximately 7:40 am, Wrentham police arrested a 37 year old Rhode Island man.  Arthur Henebury, of 14 Sandlewood Ave was charged with O.U.I. alcohol, and unlicensed possession of a firearm.  The arrest was the result of an officer checking a disable motor vehicle on West St. by Manchester Drive.
