Herlihy, Esq., loving mother of Eileen Buckley and her husband Donald of Franklin, Edward Herlihy and his wife, Clara Musto-Herlihy of Walpole, the late Ann Descoteaux, her husband Richard of Newburyport, cherished grandmother of six, sister of Dorothy Ware and her husband Paul of Milton, Eleanor Swain of Falmouth, the late Marjorie McArdle, her husband Frank of Quincy, the late Joseph Devine, David Devine and Constance Corey. Ralph served his country as a member of the United States Navy during both WWII and the Korean Conflict, and was a former member of the 25th Infantry of the Massachusetts State Guard. He was honorably discharged from duty with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He had formerly been employed at the Valentine Tool & Stamp Co. in Norton and at the former S.W. Card Co. in Mansfield. Obituary from Ginley Funeral Home. Viola Kubik, 87, of Wrentham, passed away in her sleep May 9, 2013 at the Maples Rehab Facility. She was the wife of the late Peter S. Kubik, to whom she had been married for 55 years prior to his death in 2002. Born Jan. 24, 1926 in Newark, N.J., the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Hauser, Viola was raised in Newark but lived in South Plainfield, N.J. for 30 years where she raised her family. She retired to the Cape in 1986 with her husband and lived in Chatham for 16 years. She left the Cape in 2002 and lived in Franklin near her daughter until residing at the Maples. Born Sept. 6, 1936 in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Whiting) Germaine. Faye lived most of her life in North Attleboro and also 20 years in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Plainville to care for her mother in 2006. She attended North Attleboro High School and worked as a cafeteria worker in North Attleboro schools and later as a caretaker for the elderly while living in Florida. Loretta A. (Poirier) Oglesby, 83, of Franklin, formerly of Norfolk, died May 7, 2013 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Ray Oglesby who she had been married to for 62 years. Born in Cambridge Feb. 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Dennis H. and Agnes (Kiley) Poirier. Mrs. Oglesby was raised in Cambridge and had lived in Medfield for many years before moving to Norfolk where she lived for 20 years prior to coming to Franklin five years ago. Mrs. Oglesby worked in the cafeteria at Medfield High School for many years. She had also been the receptionist at the Glen Ellen Country Club. Mr. Clark was an Airman 2nd Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a maintenance mechanic for the Grace Company in Canton for 25 years before retiring in 1996. She was the beloved wife of William Herman Swanson to whom she was married on July 26, 1959. Born in Boston on March 16, 1940, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Gempka) Bruneau. She had attended Readville Schools, and was a graduate of the Walpole High School. Joan M. Donovan, 92, of Wrentham, died peacefully in her home on May 8, 2013 in the company of her loving children. She was the beloved widow of Daniel F. Donovan who predeceased her on Feb. 12, 2004. Born in Westwood, on June 1, 1920, she was a dear daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Burdett) Shepherd. She was a graduate of the Dedham High School. Joan had once owned her own beauty shop. An avid gardener, she also enjoyed her role as a mom and as a homemaker. Paul Doherty Paul Anthony Doherty Sr., 72, of Foxborough, died May 8, 2013. Paul was a retired patrolman and court prosecutor for the Town of Foxborough, retiring in 2003. Paul served the citizens of Foxborough for over 37 years. He was also a former news photographer for the former Boston Herald-Traveler from 1962-1972.
