Wrentham's Hedtler Earns National Softball Title at Tufts University
Wrentham's Sara Hedtler was a starting outfielder for the national champion Tufts University softball team.
Wrentham's Sara Hedtler has a national championship to add to her softball resume. The former King Philip player batted .414 for the national Division 3 champion Tufts University team. It was the first title in the sport for Tufts.
In the title game. the Jumbos rallied for a 6-5 win over SUNU-Cortland at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claiire, May 20.
A junior, Hedlter started 40 games for the 46-3 Tufts squad, finishing with 60 hits and 10 stolen bases. She was named to All-Region second team.
