Seattle Cuts Former King Philip Standout Lofu Tatupu

ESPN says he could ended up with Tampa Bay.

After the two sides couldn’t agree on a salary reduction, former King Philip standout Lofu Tatupu was released by the Seattle Seahawks after a seven -year career at linebacker, which include three Pro Bowl appearances.

EPSN.com is reporting that Tatupu could end up in Florida with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tatupu was the captain of Seattle’s defense and has 549 tackles with 10 interceptions in his career. He also has eight and half sacks.

He started his college career at the University of Maine before switching to USC where he played for current Seattle head coach Pete Carroll.
