"I was definitely happy as a whole with [Mansfield's] playing," Mansfield head coach Melissa Suriani said. "We're still trying to get some different alignments and see what rotations are working the best."

Mansfield repeated their performance in the first set, taking an early lead. This time around they kept a commanding lead until they hit the 20 point mark, allowing KP to bring their score up to 20 before hitting the final blow.

"I'm really proud of them with the fact that I put them in different positions [and] they adjusted to that," Suriani said.

The third set was more lopsided. Mansfield kept KP scoreless until their 10 point, and then only let KP get up six while they had scored 20.

"The first two games, 20 to 25 were respectable scores, in the third game we just fell apart," Souza said. "We didn't play as well as we can play. You know we've got a really talented team. I am looking for them to do really well in the league this year. We're early in the season and I'm not worried about it."
