KP's Owen Gonser Named Boston Herald All-Scholastic

The KP XC runner was named one of the best runners in the state by the Boston Herald.

The awards keep rolling in for KP junior Owen Gonser. After being named a Hockomock League All-Star and a Boston Globe All-Scholastic, the runner can now add Boston Herald All-Scholastic to his resume.

It was a successful season for Gonser who quickly established himself as one of the fastest distance runners in the area. During the King Philip cross country campaign this fall, Gonser took home the Hockomock League championship, placed second at the Eastern Massachusetts Division 2 Meet, and placed 12th in the Division 1 race at the MIAA All-State Meet.

The success from cross-country has followed Gonser into indoor track. After two indoor meets, Gonser leads the Hockomock League and ranks third in the state in the two-mile (9:52.19) and is second only behind his teammate Austin Gatcomb in the mile (4:35).
