KP's Layman Nominated for McDonald's All American Game

Jake Layman nominated to participate in All American Game.

King Philip senior Jake Layman has been nominated to participate in the 2012 McDonald's All American Game, set to take placce in March.

Layman's nomination was announced this week. Layman, a key member of the KP squad, has committed to play for the University of Maryland.

The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls for the All American game will be announced on ESPNU on Feb. 9 at 5pm. The game itself will air on March 28 at 9:30pm, and will be aired on ESPN.

“Massachusetts continues to produce elite basketball talent, and the nomination of Jake Layman signifies the hard work and dedication of our young athletes,” Lou Provenzano, the owner of the Franklin, North Attleboro and Plainville McDonald's, said in a statement. "They contribute to their schools, the community and the game."
