KP Fall Athletes Named Hockomock All Stars

19 KP athletes were given all-star honors. Charles Ruffin and Chris Allen were named the football and cross country MVPs.

The Hockomock League recently released their list of all-stars, and among them were 19 student-athletes from King Philip.

Football led the way with six nods, including league MVP Charles Ruffin. Joining Ruffin were Jason Litchfield, Sam MacDonald, J.J. Dillon, Nick Lussier, and Joe Cochrane.

In cross country, league champion Chris Allen was named the MVP. In addition to winning the league meet, Allen was also the Division 3 Eastern Massachusetts champion and placed fifth in the Division 1 State Championship Race.

Joining Allen was Owen Gonser who was seventh at the Hockomock League XC Championship Meet, ninth in the Division 3 Eastern Massachusetts Championship Race, and 37th in the Division 1 State Championship Race.

In Boys soccer Ian Pimental and Jonathan Keys both received nods. This is the first all-star nod for both Pimental and Keys.

Kevin Cronin and George Ducharme both were named all-stars for their performances on the golf course. Cronin finished the season with a 3rd place finish at the Hockockmock League Championship Tournament and a top 20 performance at the Division 2 State Championships. Ducharme shot an 81 in the league championship tournament.

On the girls side Audrey Foxx and Caitlyn Croke received nods for their performances on the Warriors' backline in soccer.

In field hockey team captains Olivia Fair and Rachael Lomp both received their first all-star nods.

Jodi Cullity received the lone nod for volleyball.

In cross country All-State qualifiers Stacy Wojcik and Hannah Beaulieu were given nods for their seventh and 15th place performances at the Hockomock League Championship Meet. In addition, Wojcik was ninth in the Division 3 Eastern Massachusetts Championship race, while Beaulieu was 18th.
