King Phillip Boys Basketball Tourney Game Has Been Moved to Taunton High

King Philip will play Whitman-Hanson in opening round Tuesday in Taunton.

 

The King Philip boys basketball team has garnered a three seed in the MIAA tournament, but won't be getting a home game. After the tournament officials ruled the KP gym was too small to host a postseason game against Whitman-Hanson, the contest is now going to be moved to Taunton, Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. and is scheduled to play Whitman-Hanson in the first round.

KP, which finished with a 17-3 record and the team will be in the Division 2 South bracket.

The boys team in the tournament last year, but took to Hopkinton in the finals.
