King Philip Track to Compete in Division 2 East Meet Monday

In anticipation of a rainy Saturday, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association have moved the Division 2 East meet to Monday.

The King Philip High boys' and girls' track teams will be competing in the East Divison 2 meet Monday at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham after the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association decided to move the event from Saturday to Monday. 

The weigh-in for throwing implements will be at 11 a.m., followed by the field events at noon and the running events at 12:30 p.m.

In the girls' meet, Andrea Olsen is the top shot put going into the meet with a toss of 37 feet, 6.50 inches, while Abby Seabburg is second in the mile at 5:15.53. Check out where everyone is seeded in the meet at the MIAA girls' meet web site.

Owen Gonser is the top seeded miler in the boys' race at 4:22.8, while Matthew Bowers is the top-rated triple jumper at 45 feet, 10.5 inches. Bowers is also second in the 200 meters (22.24), second in the long jump (22-feet) and fifth in the 100 meters (11.14). To see how the other athletes are seeded, go to the MIAA website.
