The King Philip High girls' softball team lost a hearbreaker 1-0 at Milford Turesday in the Division 1 South quarterfinals.

The girls' tennis team went on the road to Barnstable and had its season ended with a 5-0 loss. The Warriors finished the season with a 13-7 record.

The boys' tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to Wellesley at home Tuesday, finishing with 17-3 record on the year.

Senior Matt Bowers placed in two events, second in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump. The senior leaped 23 feet in the long jump, being edged out by Chicopee Comm.'s Alex Niemiec. BC High's Jordan Samels won the triple jump at 48 feet and half inch, while Bowers went 44 feet, 1.5 inches.

Junior Owen Gosner finished fifth in mile at 4:22.58, while Methuen's Mike O'Donnell was first in 4:20.69.

Austin Gatcomb was 20th in the 800 meters at 2:04.7.

KP boys' finished eighth overall with 15 points, while Newton North finished first with 40.75.

For the girls' team, Abby Seaberg was ninth in the mile at 5:19.48.
