PHOTOS: King Philip Girls' Soccer Falls to Foxborough

A pair of goals from Foxborough's Danielle Roma was too much as KP fell 2-1.

For 80 minutes the Foxborough Warriors and King Philip Warriors girls' soccer teams battled it out on the mud filled field at the Booth Playground in Foxborough. With both teams coming into the match four wins, both teams needed a victory to keep their dim tournament hopes alive.

Behind a two goal performance from Danielle Roma, Foxborough earned a 2-1 decision over King Philip to improve to 5-5-2 while King Philip is now 4-6-1.

A top shelf strike from 25 yards out from Roma in the 16th minute of the first half gave Foxborough the lead.

King Philip would strike back in the second half during the 49th minute when Rachel Patten beat the Foxborough back line down the left flank for the tying strike.

10 minuts later, Roma earned her second score of the game after a corner kick from the right from Michela Carinino landed at the feet of Roma who gave Foxborough the lead on a near post goal.
