Game Brief: KP Football Can't Catch Up to Mansfield

Mansfield wins a tight one against KP, 27-26.

Despite a frenetic fourth-quarter King Philip comeback attempt, the Mansfield Hornets held on for a one-point win at Wrentham Friday night.

KP scored a touchdown on a one-yard run with 44 seconds left in the game to pull within one point. Coach Brian Lee decided to go for the two-point conversion and the win, but Quarterback John Dillon's pass attempt fell incomplete.

Mansfield led throughout the game after scoring via a long Gregory Donahue run on the opening possession.
