Game Brief: KP Baseball Defeats Franklin to Open Season

KP takes the win, 6-2.

The King Philip baseball team rode a strong first inning to beat Franklin to open the season Tuesday.

The Warriors won by a 6-2 margin.

KP scored five runs in the first inning on a RBI single by Matt Aucoin and a grand slam by Dan Rosen.

Matt Aucoin also knocked in the sixth run of the game with a RBI double in the fifth.

Brian Crafton picked up the win. He went five innings, scattering seven hits while striking out 10 and giving up two runs. Nick Malatesa picked up a save, throwing two scoreless innings.
