School bands will perform Christmas classics during the evening, and have been preparing for this show for a considerable time.

"It's been part of the curriculum since the beginning of the school year," KP Regional High School Music Director Joshua Wolloff said. "Some of the pieces we got [ready] within the first month of school."

The high school chorus, symphony band and then the combined symphony and concert bands will perform during the night, and there will be a final performance by the marching band, which will do a standstill performance in the Field House. There will also be holiday sing-alongs.

President of the KP Music Association Barbara Snead said she and her organization have been preparing and planning for this event since the marching band finals in Nov.

"There's just a bunch of us who sit down and decide what we're going to theme the concert this year," she said. "We thought we'd base it on Italian food."

Snead said that, along with alps-themed centerpieces in each table, there will be miniaturized mountains to add to the feel of the performance. She said that ladders will be covered with white cloth and cotton to simulate the snowy peaks of the Italian Alps. Preparations for the show itself will start bright and early at 9am at the Field House.

Last year's concert went with an old-fashioned holiday theme, and was very successful. The field house filled up all 60 prepared tables to cater to over 600 guests. This year looks to be just as much of a success. Tickets can be purchased at the door, which are $10 for adults, and $5 for students and seniors.
