KP HS Principal Search Narrowed to Three Candidates

KP is in an ongoing search for a new high school principal.

The search for a new King Philip Regional High School principal has been winnowed to three candidates, according to the district.

Superintendent Elizabeth Zielinski said the high school principal search committee had selected three candidates for consideration for the position. According to Zielinski, those candidates are Newburyport High School Vice Principal Timothy McCarron; Windham (New Hampshire) High School teacher Richard Manley; and current KP Vice Principal Robert Wargo.

"They were interviewed by the search committee last week, which met with each for one and a half hours," she said. "What we're trying to do is get them to come in for a site visit."

Zielinski said, during such a visit, she would walk with a candidate through the school, sit in on a class and speak with students, teachers and other staff members.

Zielinski said she's hoping to announce her principal search at the May 16 KP School Committee meeting.
