The decision to pursue al turf field came after repeated complaints were lodged. The damage was so extensive on the existing field that the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association decided to have their field hockey tournament game at the Mansfield High School, because it was unsuitable and unsafe for the sport.

“We’re continuing to meet and hopefully will have a lovely artificial turf field in the near future,” she said.
