Bishop Feehan Shamrocks Make Sports History

History was made at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro when three teams were declared champs.

in Attleboro had a lot to celebrate Saturday as three Shamrock teams won as state championship that day.

While the Shamrock girls' swim team were at the MIT pool in Boston defeating the defending state champions, Reading, the girls' cross country team were at Franklin Park, also in Boston, defending their state title.

The girls swim team defeated Reading by a score of 363.5 to 319 while the cross country team won their third consecutive state title and fourth overall. The girls’ 63 points bested 20 other division II schools with their closest rivals being Hamilton-Wenham with 79 points, and Weston High School with 99 points.

After two exciting wins for Feehan, the boy Shamrocks defeated the two-time defending state champions Pembroke High School. The boys’ 59 points bested20 other division II schools. Feehan's closest rivals were Pembroke High School with 61 points and Sandwich High School’s 112 points.
