Looking back at the last year in Wrentham school news.

As 2011 draws to a close, here's a look back at school news in the town over the year.

  • Wrentham Elementary Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden attended the town's leadership forum in February and .
  • in May after a to replace Charles Flahive. Flahive, as a retired administrator, was limited to a one-year term as the school's principal. The process featured a over the selection of teachers to serve on the search committee.
  • At the June Town Meeting, Wrentham citizens voted to to ameliorate a budget shortfall. The money was taken from the town stabilization fund.
  • The Wrentham Elementary School Committee decided to as the result of that budget shortfall. The step was taken to avoid cutting staff further.
  • The King Philip Marching Band finished its season in November by in Annapolis, Md. The band scored within six one-hundredths of a point of a number-one finish.
  • The King Philip High School has been dealing with odor problems with its wastewater treatment plant. The plant had been the subject of complaints by neighboring residents, and the Board of Health ordered the district to remedy the problem. The district's fix .
