According to Anderson, the department has been seeking dispatchers.

"We currently have a shortage," he said. "We've lost some dispatchers in the past three-and-a-half to four months."

Selectman Michael Carroll asked if the position had been posted for applicants. Anderson said it had.

The board voted to approve the new full-time dispatcher.
