State Approves Plainville Host Community Transfer to Penn National

Penn National Gaming received approval from the state Gaming Commission in their request to transfer the host agreement between the town of Plainville and Plainridge Racecourse to them, according to a report in the Sun Chronicle.

If Penn National gets the slot license, they will reportedly buy the track from Plainridge, build the slots parlor and continue harness racing. Plainville will be having a town-wide election Tuesday on slot machine agreement. Selectmen approved the host community agreement and supported the transfer

Raynham Park is also in the running for a slot parlor license after they gain approval from the town of Raynham.
