Scott Brown may not be running in this spring's U.S. Senate special election to replace John Kerry, but he won't be resting on his laurels.
The Boston Globe is reporting that Brown has accepted a position on the board of directors for Kadant, with its headquarters located on Technology Park Drive in Westford.
Kadant president Jonathan Painter said to the Globe that the company welcomed the chance to draw on Brown’s ‘‘wealth of experience on local, state, national and international issues.’’
A self-described leader in paper and pulp manufacturing, the company saw a significant amount of its stock sold last year and employs 1,700 employees worldwide.
With Brown out of the race, currently there are no declared candidates on the Republican side. Ed Markey and Stephen Lynch have declared their candidacies on the Democratic side.
