Plainville Conservation Area Will Get Trails Grant

Area will get $1,000 grant.

The Plainville Conservation Area will be receiving a $1,017 state grant for a trail improvement project, according to a joint release from State Sen. Richard Ross and State Rep. Dan Winslow.

The grant requires grantee matching funds of $2,264, and will be used to improve awareness of the trails. The money, according to the release, will be used to add marking and signage and promote a larger trail system.

"I am thrilled that Plainville has received this excellent opportunity to improve their local trails," Ross said in a statement. "The Recreation Trail Grant Program is a wonderful means for the government to benefit our local communities."
