Norfolk Town Clerk Running for Winslow Seat

Republican and Norfolk Town Clerk Shawn Dooley announced that he is running for the Massachusetts State Representative seat that Rep. Daniel Winslow resigned from Monday.

According to Sun Chronicle, Plainville assessor Stan Nacewicz, a Democrat, and Norfolk attorney Edward McCormick, a Republican, said they are also thinking about running.

A spokesman for House Speaker Robert DeLeo said Winslow’s resignation is not official yet, so the decision to have a special election to fill the vacancy has not been made.

Dooley is also chairman of the Norfolk School Committee.
