New Massachusetts Congressional Map Released; Wrentham to Change Districts

Wrentham to be represented by Barney Frank in 4th Congressional District.

The Legislature’s Redistricting Committee released the proposed new congressional district map Monday afternoon.

The redrawn map would move Wrentham from the 3rd Congressional District (currently represented by U.S. Rep. James McGovern) to Barney Frank's 4th District, according to the proposed plan.

According to the Boston Globe, the draft Congressional redistricting plan would also create a new seat in the incumbent-free district based in southeastern Massachusetts stretching from the Cape and Islands across Plymouth and Bristol County to Fall River.
