Flu Specialist: Flu Peaked in the East, Wrentham
Flu specialist Judith Fenton tells the Wrentham Board of Health that the flu in New England has peaked.
The Wrentham Board of Health met on Monday with registered nurse Judith Fenton to discuss the ramifications and health effects of the recent influenza health emergency declared by Gov. Deval Patrick.
She told the board that the flu has basically peaked in the New England area, but that doesn’t mean the infection has stopped spreading.
“We seem to be seeing a spike in the flu, and people should consult with a healthcare professional if they have any symptoms,” said Wrentham board of health vice chair William Skinner.

Fenton added that Wrentham did not present a higher risk than any other town in the state on average. She said that the disease is moving westward at this point and risk to the Wrentham area is decreasing.
