DPW Superintendent to Retire in June

The Wrentham DPW Superintendent, Irving Priest, announced his retirement Tuesday.

The Wrentham Board of Selectmen announced the retirement of town Department of Public Works Superintendent Irving Priest at its meeting Tuesday.

Priest, who has had recent health issues, is set to retire at the end of June.

A letter from Priest was read at the meeting. In it, he expressed gratitude for his time spent working in the town,

The board accepted the retirement.

"We thank you for your time," Board Chairman Joseph Botaish said. "I understand and respect your decision, and wish you a long and healthy retirement."

The board also appointed a committee to seek a new superintendent. Committee members include former superintendent William Skinner and elementary school committee member Michelle Rouse.
