Scott Brown (R), Elizabeth Warren (D): U.S. Senate

Scott Brown has represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate since a January 2010 special election held to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy. Brown defeated state Attorney General Martha Coakley with 1,168,107 votes, or 51.9 percent, to her 1,058,682 votes, or 47.1 percent.

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D), Joseph Selvaggi (R): 8th Congressional District

Joseph Selvaggi will challenge Rep. Stephen Lynch after defeating Republican opponent Matt Temperley in a tight 8th Congressional race in this year's State Primary. Massachusetts lost a Congressional seat after the 2010 U.S. Census results showed a population shift within the state. After Jan. 1, 2013, there will no longer be a 10th Congressional District. The 9th District, where Canton now sits, will become part of the 8th District. Basically, the 8th District is the old 9th, and you can't get more New England than that description.

State Senate/Rep. Races

Canton's State Rep., William C. Galvin, and State Senator Brian A. Joyce will seek re-election on Tuesday in their own respective races.

Added Naddaff, "It's about time we had a woman in the Senate."

Holding a sign for Scott Brown, voter Joyce Kessler said, "Scott Brown to me is like Mr. Smith goes to Washington. I believe that Brown has a long career in politics."

When will we get to see the rest of the precincts? Precinct 1 was posted last night and nothing since.

Where did you get the results? They aren't posted on Patch or Cable 8. I'd like to see the Precinct results.
Matt Perkins November 07, 2012 at 08:56 PM
Hi Mary Jane - only results from Precinct 1 were available as of late last night. The post was updated this morning with the full town results. I just included a link to the Town's Website which includes results broken down by precinct. Thanks for asking - hope that helps!
