Brown's Favorite in Senate Race Says Survey

Former United States Senator Scott Brown (R-Wrentham) would be a clear favorite against a democratic candidate in the Massachusetts Senate race, according to politico.com.

 

While he has been silent on the subject, a poll from MassINC, says Scott Brown has a 20-percent lead over Democratic frontrunner, congressman Edward Markey in a Massachusetts Senate race. Brown lost his senate seat to Elizabeth Warren in the November election.

A report on politico.com has Brown winning 53 to 31-percent against Markey in a race for John Kerry's senate seat. Kerry is expected to be confirmed as secretary of state.

Brown actually does slightly worst against a generic Democract, getting 44-36 percent. 

The poll involved 435 registered voters from Jan. 16-19.

Brown has also been rumored a possible candidate for Governor of Massachusetts in 2014. The current governor Deval Patrick won't be a candidate for reelection, while Lt. Governor Tim Murray decided not to run last week.
