Brown Rocks Out with Cheap Trick at Casino Ballroom

Former United States Senator Scott Brown has been in New Hampshire frequently — particularly on the Seacoast — over the past several months as rumors swirl about the former Massachusetts senator's possible bid for elected office in New Hampshire.

Brown's latest visit to Hampton had very little focus on politics, though, as he played guitar and sang onstage Sunday at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom with Cheap Trick during the band's hit, "Surrender."

“I am a blessed man," said Brown, the Wrentham Republican, tweeted about the opportunity. "I fulfilled one of my bucket list items and got to get up on stage and played #Surrender with #Cheaptrick tonight. Wow.”

Brown said on his Facebook page that he had developed a personal relationship with the group, while working on music pirating issues in the United States Senate.

"Saw them before the show and I told them I know a few of their songs on the guitar," wrote Brown on Facebook. "Out of the blew, they said get up here."

His daughter, country singer Ayla Brown, wrote on her Facebook page that her father will be performing "Pride of America" with her when she opens up for the Charlie Daniels Band at Indian Ranch, Sept. 8.

A YouTube video from Brown's performance during the concert is attached above.
