After Cohen Resignation, Town Looks for New Planning Board Member

Town looking to appoint new member.

After the resignation of Planning Board member Bob Cohen, the town will be looking to appoint someone as his replacement.

Town Administrator William Ketcham said the seat could not be filled at the Wrentham's April 2 election.

"[Cohen's resignation] came too close to the election to put the vacancy on the ballot," Ketcham said.

Thus, Ketcham said, the town will be soliciting applications to join the board. He said the Planning Board would work to determine potential appointees.

According to Ketcham, the ultimate decision would likely be made by the Planning Board and Board of Selectmen together.

"The two boards could schedule a joint meeting as early as [the selectmen's] second meeting in March," Ketcham said.

He said he had not yet heard from the Planning Board about this time, but added that the board had not had a chance to meet since he reached out to them.
