Wrentham teen allegedly crashes BMW into bread truck in Arlington while high.

A Wrentham teenager crashed a BMW into the back of a parked bread truck on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington early Saturday morning while allegedly driving under the influence of marijuana.

Erik D. Bezema, 18, was arrested for DUI after police found a marijuana blunt in the vehicle and he admitted to having smoked at about midnight, police said. Bezema did pass a field sobriety test, according to police.

The crash occurred in East Arlington, outside of , at about 1:54am Saturday, May 5.

Bezema and his two passengers were not injured. However, the driver of the bread truck, who was walking in the back of the truck at the time of the crash, was transported to Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge with a back injury. He told police that he was thrown forward when Bezema’s car struck his truck.

In addition to the DUI charge, Bezema was charged with negligent operation, as well as violating junior operating license time and passenger restrictions.
