Wrentham Residents Killed in Highway Crash Friday Night

The accident happened on Interstate 95 in Norwood.

Jerome Blomquist, 59 and Joan Pupi, 60, both of Wrentham, have been identified as the two people who were killed in a car accident on Interstate 95 in Norwood Friday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.

According to state police, the accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. just prior to exit 11B on I-95 southbound, when a 1998 Ford Explorer crashed and rolled over several times.

Sections of I-95 were closed for three hours as state police cleaned up after the crash and conducted an investigation, state police said.

Troop H of the Massachusetts Sate Police, along with the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, the Crime Scene Services and Troop H investigators are conducting an investigation into the crash.

The Norwood Fire Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation also responded to the crash.
