Wrentham Police. Teachers Lend a Hand at Pine Street Inn

The Wrentham police department has been volunteering at the Pine Street Inn for the 14 years.

Police officers and teachers from Wrentham, including police chief James Anderson, volunteered at the Pine Street Inn to serve dinner to those staying at the Men's Emergency Center. 

This group has been volunteering at Pine Street for the last 14 years. 

"We think it's important to give back to the less fortunate," said Anderson.

Volunteer groups are instrumental in helping Pine Street's meal service run smoothly. Between 250 and 300 meals are served to guests at the Men's Inn each night. 

Serving more than 11,000 men and women each year, Pine Street provides permanent housing, job training, emergency shelter and street outreach.

The Wrentham Police Department is among the more than 4,000 volunteers who assist with Pine Street, working every day of the year.
