Residents Catch Sights of Plainville SWAT-like Exercise

Residents reported seeing low flying helicopters last night as part of a training exercise.

It's not every day that helicopters can be seen flying over Wrentham, let alone a group of them. Yet that is exactly what happened Wednesday night when nearby Plainville played host to some sort of police training exercise.

Witnesses in town that saw the training said that about five or six helicopters flew at a low elevation starting at approximately 8 p.m. Late into the night, the helicopters were still flying around the area

Responding on the Wrentham Patch Facebook's page, one person claims to have seen the helicopters land at the Old Wood School in Plainville as part of the exercise as late as 11:30 p.m.

Angry residents of Plainville have already taken to the Plainville Police's Facebook page demanding answers to why they are hearing explosions and helicopters at a very late hour.

This isn't the first time that the school was used for training this week. The Plainville Times reported on July 30 that the school was used for training on that day.
