Town Honors Two for Actions After West St Crash

Actions commended at selectmen meeting Tuesday evening.

The town Board of Selectmen honored two men Tuesday night for their actions following an accident on West Street in November.

The accident involved the . The truck was engulfed in flames, but the driver was removed from the vehicle by two good samaritans.

Selectman Gail Pratt read a letter commending the two men — Robert Coyle of Wrentham and Frank Marci of Franklin — into the record.

"The selfless and heroic acts of these two good samaritans saved the life of the vehicle's operator," she said.

Board Chairman Joseph Botaish thanked Marci, who was present at the meeting.

"I'm glad you took the initiative," he said.

Marci said he had been in contact with the driver.

"He's doing quite well," he said.
