Saturday Crash On 495 Leads to Serious Injuries

Driver transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center for injury treatment.

A two-car crash on Route 495 Saturday evening in Wrentham resulted in serious injuries, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

According to police, an accident involving a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck and a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo took place on the road at about 6:50pm.

Police said the pickup truck driver, a 52-year-old Hopkinton resident, was transported to the hospital by helicopter. The driver sustained what was called "incapacitative, non-fatal injuries," characterized as "very serious."

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 22-year-old Milford resident, was reportedly unharmed.

The road was cleared by 7:40pm, according to police.
