Plainville Police Make Arrests in Undercover Sting Operation

The Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force and the Plainville Police Department made arrests for drug dealing and prostitution Thursday.

Detectives from the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force (NORPAC) participated in an undercover sting operation with Plainville Police Thursday at 51 George St. in Plainville. This was the result of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing and prostitution.

Plainville Sgt. Scott Gallerani and Ptl. Julie Barrett took a report from a neighbor about suspicious activity earlier this month, where several males allegedly had gone to the wrong address looking for 51 George St. Detective James Floyd was appraised of the incident and an investigation ensued.

Two residents were arrested and a search warrant was executed. Tracy Augustine, 33 of Plainville was arrested and charged with: Sexual Conduct for a Fee; Possession of Class A (Heroin) With Intent to Distribute; and Being Present Where Heroin is Kept. Chad Curtis, 32 of Plainville was arrested and charged with: Deriving Support from Prostitution; Possession of Class A (Heroin) With Intent to Distribute; and Being Present Where Heroin is Kept.

According to the police report, they allege Augustine would advertise “body rubs” on an adult website, and men would contact her and go to her residence in Plainville to receive their “body rub.” 

Augustine and Curtis were held overnight at the Plainville Police Department for their arraignment at Wrentham District Court Friday morning.
